A Surprise

Honestly, I didn’t have much clue or expectation to what this book may present except what was on the blurb. So I read multiple reviews and decided it was worth a shot. The story starts off very strong. K, the main character, is a translator and an amateur musician, is struggling with life. The writer did such a good job with K, that I actually felt sorry for him. Certain parts of the book make my mind shout, man life sucks! The main character then tries out many different things, including BDSM to try and feel alive again.

It kind of hits home because I do know some forty year olds that are in a similar rut. (though I don’t know if they are doing BDSM or not, lol) My only wish would be that the female characters were more fleshed out. Overall a surprise read for me.
