This is a really interesting book for anyone who is interested in delving deeper into human sexuality and need. I imagine the book could be compared with the 50 Shades of Grey series, but I actually found it to be much more readable. I discarded the first Grey book after about five chapters and never looked back.

This is immensely readable and brings us to a place that a lot of people find themselves in. Maintaining sexuality and desire mid-life and really all through life. It explores need, trust, and gender roles in a way that creates a very open dialogue about sexuality. I found it very interesting the premise and concept that people who are not exploring their desires or who don’t have a partner they can be open with will become profoundly sad and uninspired. Sexuality is certainly one of the more important aspects of our sense of self.

I enjoyed the book very much and never found the steamy nature of it to be overkill or even inappropriate at any point.
