Oh My Gods, what a book! That Woman is written wonderfully. The author has obviously taken time to master the craft and has created a story that flows easily and does a great job of developing the characters and making us want to know what will happen next.
This book is Sarah Da Silva as she tries to find her brother and survive in a the new world. Sarah had a life in France. Everything was fine until her mother passed away from an illness. And now her father is falling apart himself. He has grown more and more desperate as he watched his family fall apart and his business drown in debt. One night while she and her brother were down on the docks, She and her brother are kidnapped. Then thrown on a boat destined for the new world (America). When they arrive they are torn away from each other and sold into slavery. Sarah is sold to this really mean and horrible man who controls the New York. She knows that anytime something bad is going to happen to her or her brother. So she takes a knife and thrusts it into his neck till he sets her free. When he lets her go Sarah is able to find her brother. And now that hey ae free she makes plans for the future. Only Sarah is not safe and what she is unaware of is that she has been paid for and her owner is not going to let her go so easily.
