Realistic and Emotionally Charged

Most books in this genre tend to be poorly written, with a focus on events rather than characters, exaggerations rather than emotions. This isn’t the case with he & She at all. Instead, he & She is a story about realistic people, with all of their risks, faults and imperfections. Personally, I think this makes the story easier to relate to and the events seem more likely and more engaging at the same time. This isn’t my first foray into the BDSM sphere in reading, but the author does present the sphere well, better than most of his contemporaries.

Even if the subject matter isn’t what you would normally pick up, I do suggest taking the time to read this book for its characterization and its story. The emotions and the narrative throughout the book help to keep the story grounded in reality. This is more than a story about sex and sexuality, instead, it is the story of a man finding himself and the way that he develops as an individual. For the reader, there really is something satisfying and fascinating about the whole experience.
